Digital signage integration.
January 2025
British Automation added digital signage hardware under the Display Kube brand, delivering managed advertising and communication screens fully integrated with The Bridge.
Platform enhancement.
April 2025
The Bridge received a major update introducing sector-specific dashboards for hospitality, retail, and healthcare. The platform began supporting data-driven marketing tools directly accessible to host venues.
Manufacturing expansion.
August 2025
Production capacity was expanded through new equipment and assembly processes in the UK facility, reinforcing our commitment to local manufacturing and rapid product development.
Healthcare development.
January 2023
British Automation began working with NHS locations to adapt vending technology for healthcare settings. Infection-control features and secure dispensing mechanisms were developed to meet regulatory requirements.
Experiential technology.
March 2023
The first working vending machine was assembled and deployed for testing in a live venue. This marked the transition from concept to product, proving the viability of locally manufactured automation hardware.
Photo Kube launch.
July 2023
Photo Kube was released for hospitality venues nationwide, offering free-to-use digital photo experiences that built marketing databases for participating locations. The success of this model proved the strength of combining hardware, software, and analytics.
Integrated platform planning.
October 2023
Development began on a unified software system to connect every British Automation device through one control portal. The project would become known as The Bridge.
The Bridge prototype.
March 2024
The first prototype of The Bridge platform went live, enabling cloud-based management, performance tracking, and remote configuration for vending and experiential devices.
Full deployment of The Bridge.
June 2024
After extensive testing, The Bridge was deployed across the national network of Photo Kube and vending systems, introducing real-time analytics, automated updates, and marketing campaign management.
Foundations.

British Automation was established in the United Kingdom with a clear mission: to design and manufacture intelligent automation systems entirely on home soil. Our first prototypes explored compact vending mechanisms and modular control systems.
Experiential technology.
September 2021

Following positive trials, we began small-scale distribution to bars and nightclubs in South Wales and the West Midlands. This phase introduced remote telemetry, cashless payments, and modular vending trays.

Retail partners expressed interest in compact vending formats. Adaptations were made to support non-hospitality environments, including point-of-sale integration and enhanced inventory analytics.

Pritesh Patel
Head of Manufacturing Operations
Pritesh manages all UK-based production, logistics, and quality assurance. His background includes over 15 years in electronics assembly and ISO-certified manufacturing environments. Since joining British Automation, he has implemented process improvements that increased production efficiency while maintaining the company’s commitment to UK craftsmanship.
Sarah Milton
Head of Software Development
Sarah brings over 12 years of experience in full-stack development and cloud architecture. Before joining British Automation, she led digital transformation projects in the retail technology sector, focusing on scalable management platforms and IoT integration. At British Automation, she oversees development of The Bridge, ensuring that every connected device communicates securely and efficiently through the cloud.
Daniel Hurst
Lead Mechanical Engineer
Daniel is an experienced engineer specialising in precision manufacturing and mechanical design. He previously worked with several UK-based engineering firms designing modular enclosures and electronic housings for industrial applications. His expertise in materials and production processes has shaped the durability and aesthetic of every British Automation product.
Liam Shaw
Business Development Manager
Liam leads partnerships and sector expansion, bringing with him extensive experience in B2B technology sales and client relations. Before British Automation, he worked in the smart devices and energy management industry, helping businesses adopt sustainable automation solutions. He now focuses on growing our presence in hospitality, healthcare, and retail networks across the UK.
Emily Rhodes
Creative & Experience Director
Emily joined the company in 2023 to lead the user experience and visual design of products like Photo Kube and Display Kube. With a decade of experience in creative technology and event innovation, she has developed interactive installations for major hospitality and retail brands. Emily bridges technology and storytelling, ensuring every product delivers a seamless and engaging experience.
Arash Behmanesh
Founder
Arash founded British Automation in 2021 with a vision to unite intelligent design, hardware manufacturing, and data-driven software under one roof. With a background in product innovation and technology strategy, he has led the company’s evolution from its first vending systems to a connected portfolio of automation products. Arash continues to oversee product development, partnerships, and the creative direction of the brand.
